a preceding rain band entering the far west today and extending east over most

Forecast for the rest of Wednesday
Isolated showers along the northern and central coasts, clearing in the
Early frost and fog patches, mostly in the east. Southeast to northeast winds
tending north to northwest in the west.

far west. Possible thunderstorms in the west. Freshening north to northwest
winds.

the western slopes of the southern and central ranges with snow on the Alps.
winds turning colder, strong and gusty westerly in southern and central areas.

Forecast for Saturday
Isolated showers over the southern inland, chiefly about the western slopes of
the southern ranges. Mostly sunny remainder. Moderate westerly winds, fresh in
the southeast, and afternoon coastal sea breezes.
